D’Alton Hairdressing has launched its website, taking advantage of the latest responsive web design technology to connect with customers and clients.
Conveniently located between Camberwell, Glen Iris and Burwood, D’Alton Hairdressing has been an integral and much-loved part of Burwood Village Shopping Centre for about 30 years. The D’Alton team are experts in all aspects of hairdressing, including cuts, colours and blow waves; whether it is hairdressing for weddings, hairdressing for formals or kids’ haircuts, they are on top of it.
As well as requiring a visually attractive website, the salon also needed a site that would look great no matter what kind of device the site is viewed on. This was particularly true as D’Alton has also recently launched its Facebook page and is expecting more of its clients to view the site on mobile phones.
This is where responsive web design comes into its own. No matter what kind of device the website is viewed on, its layout is adapted to fit the screen and look great. Text and images are resized to give visitors an excellent experience.
Perhaps the best example is the home page, where the graphic blocks that make up the page are re-ordered and sorted to suit the screen they are viewed on – from portrait view on a mobile phone to landscape on the biggest desktop monitors.
Melbourne-based responsive web design company Web Meets Mobile created the site to capture the feeling and ethos of the salon, while creating a powerful platform from which D’Alton Hairdressing can launch further into digital and social media.
